Kuala Lumpur, 16 November 2025 – Petaling BC reaffirmed its commitment to youth development and community spirit by organizing and sponsoring the 3rd Choong Wen Lian Yi “737 Kheng Seng Cup” Badminton Tournament 2025, held at SJKC Choong Wen Badminton Hall on 15 and 16 November. The event brought together students, parents, teachers, and supporters in a vibrant celebration of badminton and perseverance.
The tournament unfolded over two days, beginning with preliminary rounds, Last 16, and quarter finals on Saturday, before culminating in semi finals and the grand final on Sunday. Athletes competed with energy and determination, embodying Petaling BC’s motto: “Where Champions Are Made.”
Malaysia’s Paralympic gold medalist Cheah Liek Hou attended as guest speaker, sharing his personal journey from doubt to determination. He reminded students that success is defined not by medals but by heart, effort, and resilience. His words, “the court does not discriminate; the shuttlecock only responds to your effort, focus, and determination,” resonated deeply with the audience. He also engaged students in interactive moments, encouraging them to raise their rackets and shout together, “I will never give up,” leaving a lasting impression of courage and joy.
Winners in the Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles categories were recognized with cash prizes and trophies. Champions received RM500, runners-up RM300, third place RM200, and fourth place RM100. These awards, made possible through Petaling BC’s sponsorship, symbolized not only achievement but also the dedication and perseverance of every participant.
Petaling BC emphasized that the tournament was more than a competition.
